Detroit Glam

Detroit Glam performed hair and makeup for our wedding, and I could not be happier with this decision. As someone who struggles with wearing makeup, I loved everything about my makeup and hair that day. Carson and Andrea went out of their way to make me (and all the girls) feel special, and I was so relaxed that morning knowing it was going to be just perfect. I knew we were in good hands. Definitely would recommend, they were so sweet, professional, and friendly. What a great team through and through.

Detroit Glam was incredible to work with! My bridesmaids & mom were so happy with how their hair & makeup looks turned out, and I was SO impressed with mine as well! Jordyn was extremely responsive and helpful throughout the planning process and flexible as we increased the number of hair & makeup services from 6 to 9 and eventually 10 family members and bridesmaids! The two artists who came on our wedding day were right on time and got everyone looking spectacular with enough time to spare and we didn’t feel rushed at all. All 10 of us were so happy that the girls were able to accommodate our very different styles and visions, including some touch ups and my mom redoing her eyebrows 3 times! Not to mention that the girls were fun and easy to talk to, and offered to defend us when the florist showed up and was very rude to me.

Jordyn and her team were great to work with. I did my trial, and ended up not caring for either my hair or makeup. I was able to figure out what I didn’t like, and contacted Jordyn about it. Then on my wedding day, I explained to the girls and they made some simple changes and I LOVED the way everything turned out. They were super friendly, on time, and Jordyn is easy to get in touch with if you have any questions or concerns. All my girls loved their hair and makeup, and I’m so thankful for the trial!

She came onsite to the MGM Grand Detroit to do my hair and makeup, as well as my Mom’s makeup. She arrived early, got setup and we actually finished an hour ahead of schedule – which was lovely! So relaxed and easy-going!
She was a joy to chat with and my hair and makeup, as well as my Mom’s makeup, stayed in place all day!

From the initial email, to the trial, to the big day, Detroit Glam was a dream to work with. My artist, Cara, was so talented. At the trial, she listened to everything I said I was looking for, but also provided feedback and suggestions. After the trial, I had zero worries about my hair and make up the day of. Detroit Glam is the perfect company to go with if you want on-site hair and make-up. Jordyn is super helpful and quick at getting back to you. I had Annie for my bridal hair and make-up and she was amazing! She was very friendly and made the morning more relaxing! She was able to get through mine and my bridesmaids hair and make-up very quickly and everyone looked great! I was amazed at how well my hair and make-up stayed throughout the day of hugs/pictures/July heat and into the night of dancing. Anyone who wants beautiful hair and make-up for their wedding day with no stress should definitely book Detroit Glam. They are amazing!!

I could not have been more happy with booking with Detroit Glam. Annie did my hair and makeup. She was receptive to critique and was so much fun just to talk to on my wedding day. Myself, as well as my bridesmaids, were so impressed with their promptness and experience. We all looked so beautiful! Sara and Annie were so helpful throughout the morning of my big day. I really cannot say enough wonderful things about these group of fantastic ladies. :).

They did a beautiful job with hair and makeup for my wedding. My only negative comment is that some of my bridesmaid’s up-dos started to fall out after the ceremony. However, it was an incredibly hot day and there was much running around going on. If anything, I would just make sure you think your hair is super secure before you head out for the big day. The makeup and up-do styles were beautiful though. They also were able to apply makeup for one of my girls (using her makeup) at no charge since she was allergic to the airbrush makeup they use.

Jordyn did the hair and makeup for myself and my bridesmaids for my wedding. It was wonderful having her come to us so we did not have to travel. Everyone’s hair looked great, however, all of us were just not happy with our makeup.

My makeup was not blended and my eyeliner was not even in the slightest. I ended up having to fix everything after she left. She also really up charged me for ‘contour’ and my face didn’t even look contoured! She is really nice and I 100% recommend them for hair but I would hire her for makeup, it was just too sloppy for me.

Jordyn of Detroit Glam was a PERFECT choice for our wedding! She was so talented (using only airbrush, which is exactly what I wanted) and so fun to be around, it made for such a great time getting ready! I had 7 bridesmaids and several family members that wanted makeup, and she was able to get all of us done in just a couple hours – I was so impressed, we actually ran ahead of schedule! All of my bridesmaids loved Jordyn, and she made sure we all had similar makeup that would look great in pictures, but still complimented everyone’s complexion.
